According to the June 2017 Case Freight Index Report, Shipments decreased by 0.4% MoM. However expenditures increased by 1.9% MoM as well as 5.4% YoY. The statistics are an example of how consumers are inclined to spend in the trucking industry demonstrating that their will continue to be growth. One of the main factors contributing to these changing numbers is the e-commerce industry. Since consumers are spending more online it is resulting in a growth for the trucking industry. Overall the freight industry has resulted in growth since the March 2015 recession.
